Old Hollywood Tutorial

From this: To this:

made with psp8

I suggest using an icon with very fresh and light colors.

I'm using an image that i got from [info]mixologies I resized and cropped the image to 100x100.

1. Start with your base. Go ahead and sharpen and do whatever effects you need to to make the image clearer, but make sure there's no layers besides your background.

2. Now with your base, go to adjust>softness>soft focus
Softness%:20
Edge importance%:20
Set amount:50
Halo size: 50
Halo visibility%: 50
(be sure scattered light is checked)

3. Duplicate the base and set to soft light

4. New layer set to burn 60%. Fill with #F5D78F

5. Now, go to Layers > New adjustment layer > Color Balance
Midtones: -31, 27, -56
Highlights: 30, -32, -44
Shadows: 18, -40, 6

6. Next, I copied and pasted this texture as a new layer

Set the layer to screen 50%
And you should end up with this:

i also used the tutorial on these other icons
